The Disreputable Dog is a jovial creature of magic, woven from both the Charter and Freemagic. She loves life and treats, fights to preserve Life and the Charter, and has been known to lead heroes forward along their path. She is something of a trickster, though a good natured one, and can give indirect answers to straight forward questions. Usually this is because she feels the inquirer is asking the wrong question or is not ready for the answer.

As a creature of magic, Dog is able to alter her shape. She has changed her paws to be more finger-like to turn the pages of a book, grown in size to be more intimidating, shrunk to mouse-sized to fit in small spaces, grown suckers on her feet for better purchase, and even grown wings so that she might fly. She is also able to speak clearly in a manner that is easily understood by humans.

The Disreputable Dog is the physical manifestation of Kibeth, a primordial spirit/being from her reality's creation. While five of her brothers and sisters gave themselves to weave the Charter and thus protect Life and give it a chance to flourish, Kibeth’s power was merely channeled into the Charter and she was not consumed by it.

Since she is connected to the Charter, and thus the Seven Great bells, her bark or word can command movement, able to give and take away the freedom of movement from her target. Since the Charter is limited within Milliways, I am not assuming this power is absolute, but it should be potent.

Dog shape: While she is a creature of magic, she appears as a flesh and bone dog, her fur black and a golden tan. Canon states she is of a mixed breed but I have decided to use a Belgian Malinios.

Human shape: When she takes a human form, she will be tall and have black hair and dark eyes, as well as dark skin. Similarly, if she takes a male form, it too will have dark skin, black hair, and dark eyes.

True shape: When Kibeth takes her true form, she will appear as a dark silhouette of which ever form she’d been wearing (i.e. human or dog), wreathed in silver flames or containing pin points of stars within the void.
